Some of you who operate a home business have submitted profiles of
your business to me. That process essentially involved answering a
set list of questions and sending me your responses by email. For
those profiles I approved, the home business profile was placed on
the Home Business Profiles page. Of course, technology has improved
since then. If you've never submitted your home business profile
the old way, you still can. However, now there's an even better way
to do it, by way of a new feature on About.com called "Show and
Tell". The Show and Tell feature allows you to tell your story,
include a link to your home business site or blog and even upload a
photo or two - maybe of yourself, your logo, or whatever is
appropriate for your story. Even if you've already submitted your

Tell Us About Your Work at Home Job
As a follow up to the new Show and Tell feature, I've added an
opportunity for those of you who are working at home to tell us
about your job. You don't have to mention who your employer is if
you don't want to. The Show and Tell feature allows you to tell
your story and even upload a photo - maybe of yourself or your work
area at home. Just go to the Tell Us About Your Work at Home Job
page and submit your story by completing the form. All submissions
are moderated by me and are subject to approval. All submissions

Tell Us About Your Blog
As a follow up to the new Show and Tell feature, I've added an
opportunity for those of you who are blogging to tell us about your
blog. Your blog should be about working at home or starting/running
a business from home. I'll also consider blogs you are maintaining
on other topics as long as I believe those topics would be of
interest to my other readers. The Show and Tell feature allows you
to tell your story, offer advice and even upload a photo - maybe of
yourself or your work area at home. You'll get a link to your blog
too if you provide the blog's URL and your submission is approved
for publication. Just go to the Tell Us About Your Blog page and

What is a home business review? This is a question a blog reader
sent me yesterday. During my years online as a home business
entrepreneur I have seen a lot of different home business reviews
and they are all like advertisements, never any negative sides
about the home business opportunity, only facts (or hopes) about
how much money you can make if you join. What Is A Home Business

Do You Really Need a Business Plan?
Okay, so you think you want to start a home business. For many of
you, that might mean on online business. You're really excited to
get started - to get up and running, and maybe you've even given
some thought to what type of business you want to start. Do you
need a business plan? The answer depends, but I'd say for the vast
majority of my readers, you probably don't need to create a formal
business plan for your new venture. Today's micro business (very
small home business, say with just you, yourself and you) needs to
be quick and nimble. If you're going to spend a year pulling your
hair out over your business plan, wont' you be wasting your time.
